A real game of two halves on Saturday. Bournville started fast and capitalised on every early chance, and by half-time we found ourselves 31–12 down.
What followed showed exactly what this group is about. Led by a dominant set piece and a huge desire not to go down without a fight, the lads came out in the second half and took the game to Bournville. Scrum after scrum and lineout after lineout gave us the platform, and we outscored our hosts 17–10 after the break to close the gap and secure a well-earned try bonus point.
Tries: Jack Barwell (2), John Grey, James Williams, Gabe Ball
Conversions: James Williams (2)
Plenty of positives to build on. Thanks to Bournville for the game and the hospitality, and to everyone who travelled to support.
