PLAY MINI & JUNIOR RUGBY WITH US! FUN, SOCIAL, REGULAR ACTIVITY FOR KIDS AND PARENTS
At Claverdon RFC we run rugby for children from age 5 to 16 (Year 1 to 11). We are building up numbers at the other ages too. Our emphasis is on fun and taking part (for players and parents) – everyone is welcome, no matter their rugby experience or playing standard.
The new season is underway from 7th September 2025 with fun coaching and matches every Sunday at Ossetts Hole Lane, Claverdon CV35 8HN. The Clubhouse, Bar and Kitchen are open - everyone is always welcome!
We pride ourselves on giving children a love for sport, rugby and regular physical and social activity. In the last two years, 15 young players who played Junior Under 18 rugby at Claverdon the previous season started their adult rugby careers with the club, exactly the outcome that we strive for.
We have a superb band of volunteers. Each age group is led by RFU trained coaches and we have a team of trained First Aiders. Our policy is that everyone refreshes their Safeguarding and Concussion e-learning and attends Coaching/Refereeing CPD every season to provide great and safe rugby experiences for the kids. FIXTURES
The playing season with a mix of training, events and fixtures runs from September through to May, every Sunday morning from 10.30am.
Latest details of our fixture schedule can be found opposite. Coaches/team managers will also be in touch prior to each match to confirm locations and timings.
For home matches and training - pitch allocations will also be circulated on the Saturday
Fixtures/training sessions may change due to weather conditions so please check in with your coaches

Claverdon RFC works hard to create a positive environment for everyone. We are committed to the England Rugby Kids First programme. We want every player and parent to have fun, stay safe and enjoy their time at the club, whilst supporting each other through the core values of rugby union:

Fun and the development of ALL children is our priority, not just the ‘good’ ones that may help the team win. And we play to the England Rugby Half Game rule where every player, no matter their ability, gets at least half the playing time on the pitch in matches and festivals.
