All incidents, no matter how seemingly trivial, are to be reported to a committee member e.g.

 Incidents will be noted in the first aid book; and where appropriate reported to the RFU/WRFU.

EMERGENCY MEAP PROCEDURES

PRIORITY: IN THE EVENT OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY CALL THE EMERGENCY SERVICES AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE ON 999/112 GIVING AS MANY DETAILS AS POSSIBLE.  LANDLINE AVAILABLE IN CLUBHOUSE 01926 813133

 This MEAP is specifically for Claverdon RFC, Ossetts Hole Lane covering both pitches.

  • In the event of an medical emergency, a first aider/physio or other suitable individual in attendance will be the nominated lead and will be clearly identified as such, and will delegate other support as required eg another first aider, coach or club official.
  • In the event of an incident requiring an Ambulance, the Lead appointee will attend to the injured person. The supporting appointee will contact the emergency services and relay all relevant information as contained in the specific location data sheet.
  • In the event of multiple First Aiders being required to attend the injured person or there just being a single First Aider on site, the Team Manager/Coach will deal with the emergency call or other nominated person as the Lead sees fit.
  • Any known medical conditions, allergies or injuries will be passed to the responding ambulance crew. This information is held by the Team Manager which is updated at the start of every session.
